About this tool

Converts colours between hex, RGB, HSL, and OKLCH, and checks foreground against background with both WCAG 2 contrast ratios and APCA. It also builds tonal ramps and schemes, previews colour-vision deficiencies, and lays out a palette matrix.

Good for

  • Checking that text colours pass WCAG AA before they reach a design system

Not for

  • Formal accessibility sign-off: contrast is one criterion among many, and APCA isn't part of WCAG 2 conformance
