About this tool
Pretty-prints and validates JSON, diffs two documents line by line, and filters a document with JSONPath. Nothing is sent anywhere, so payloads stay on your machine.
Good for
- Reading a minified API response
- Spotting what changed between two payloads or configs
- Pulling one field out of a big document with a JSONPath query
Not for
- Very large files: a multi-hundred-megabyte dump is a job for jq
- Scripting: JSONPath here isn't jq syntax, and nothing it does can go in a pipeline
- Schema validation: it checks that JSON is well formed, not that it's what your API promised
