Unix timestamp converter

Epoch ↔ ISO 8601 ↔ your timezone. Offline-first, no tracking.

About this tool

Converts between Unix epoch seconds or milliseconds, ISO 8601, your local time, and any IANA timezone, and also shows how long ago the moment was. Paste whatever a log line gave you.

Good for

  • Reading the epoch timestamps in logs, tokens, and database rows
  • Working out what 03:00 UTC is in the timezone your users are in
  • Producing an ISO 8601 string for a query or a ticket

Not for

  • Microsecond or nanosecond values: the browser's Date keeps only milliseconds, so use ts-compare for those
  • Leap-second accounting: Unix time pretends leap seconds don't exist, and so does this tool
